Internal Heel Lift
Prescribed - unilaterally for persons that have no more than a 5mm leg length discrepancy. For a leg length discrepancy of greater than 5mm see Sole Raise.
Prescribed - bilaterally as a treatment for tightness in the Achilles tendon (in conjuction with physiotherapy and stretching as a temporary treatment). Also as a treatment for relief of the calcaneal growth plate (Apophosis) in Sever's Disease in the adolescent athlete.
Function - to lift the affected limb to it's prescribed height, or to take tension off of the Achilles tendon in a bilaterally prescribed situation (Achilles tightness, Sever's Disease).
Goal - to lift and realign the skelital structure which will in turn promote a smoother gait, alleviate pain and discomfort in the feet, ankles, knees, hips and back.

1. Treat acute pain and discomfort during weight bearing activity
2. Minimize or alleviate pain as a result of a minor leg length discrepany
3. Stop deterioration or further deterioration of the ligament,tendons,cartilage and joints.
