Rx for shoe modifications
Modification of footwear can be successful in treating and accommodating a number of ailments. Accommodation great toe deformities (bunions, etc.), lesser toe deformities (hammer toes etc.) prominent bones and joints, and areas of previous ulceration can be addressed by a modification to the upper or vamp of the footwear.
Treatment of leg length discrepancy, decreased range of motion of specific joints, or hypermobility of specific joints can be addressed by external modification of the midsole and/or outsole, or by internal modification of the sock liner.
